Ultrasound is the most commonly performed imaging diagnostic in veterinary medicine, after radiographs, and is particularly effective in simultanesously assessing organ form and function. Our radiologists have extensive ultrasound expertise both in the clinical and research settings, and they are seen as leaders and educators on this modality.
Veterinary Cardiac Ultrasound is particularly effective in evaluating:
- Abdominal evaluation — liver, spleen, kidneys, adrenal glands, stomach, bowel, bladder and lymph nodes
- Heart evaluation
- Muscles/tendons
- Tumors
- Eyes (ocular)
- Blood flow/ blood vessels
